Wasps serve as natural biocontrol to protect crops.

The natural world (from organisms to ecosystems) provides functions and goods – known as ecosystem services (ESs) – that are of value to society by supporting either directly or indirectly the quality of human life. Wasps prey on other insects, which means they serve as natural biocontrol to protect crops. This service alone is worth at least $146 billion a year around the planet in agriculture.
